Traditional uptime monitors check status code and response time. monit.rs additionally learns the schema of each endpoint's responses and detects when fields change, types drift, or status codes break — catching API regressions that look fine to a status-code check but break clients downstream.

What does "schema-aware" mean?

monit.rs records the JSON shape of each endpoint's responses as a baseline, then compares every subsequent response against it. When a field is removed, added, or changes type, you get an alert before any downstream client breaks — a class of regression that status-code monitors miss entirely.

Every monitored endpoint can be added to a public or private status page at <slug>.status.monit.rs with automatic uptime history, incident timelines, and a per-page social preview. Yes. Import an OpenAPI spec via URL or file and monit.rs creates one monitored endpoint per operation, with the spec as the contract baseline. Subsequent responses are validated against the spec; drift is flagged as a contract regression.

Where is the data hosted?

All monitoring data is stored in PostgreSQL in the United States. Account email and name are the only personal data collected. Account deletion is one-click via https://monit.rs/delete-account and complies with GDPR Article 17.

Android (Play Store) is in internal testing. iOS pending Apple Developer enrollment. Both apps allow acknowledging, assigning, and resolving incidents from the lockscreen via push notification — triage without unlocking.

How are AI incident summaries generated?

When a regression opens, monit.rs runs the diff plus recent context through an LLM (OpenAI or Anthropic) to produce a plain-English likely-cause and suggested next step. The summary appears in every alert email and on the incident detail page. Disabled per-account if preferred.
